Hello, I am wanting to start making rag quilts for a local Children's Hospital and maybe even St. Jude. I will be doing it out of my home and mostly by myself. I want to give every child a quilt. It will take me a while to complete enough quilts for my first trip to the Hospital. I was looking for information on if it is best for me to just make them and donate them - or if I should start a non-profit charity - or something of that nature. I am not aware of the benefits of being a non-profit charity. I am unsure on how to go about every thing but determined to accomplish my goal of providing every sick child their own quilt. If anyone has any suggestions that can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am in the beginning stages of getting started. I plan to buy material toward the end of the week. I have made rag quilts in the past - but it was always for family. If someone knows the best way to do this - please give me your insight. Thank you so much!
